Descrizione
Si tratta di un serpente innocuo, nero con 5 strisce rosse lungo la schiena. Vive nelle foreste e isole forestali 700-2300 m di altitudine, spesso in prossimità dell'acqua. È attivo sia di giorno che di notte, reagisce mordendo se provocato. Si nutre di piccoli roditori.

Paesi dell'Africa orientale, Ruanda, Uganda, Burundi, Angola e Guinea.
